Exmouth, Devon's oldest seaside town, sits at the mouth of the River Exe. Its homes range widely, from Georgian terraces near the seafront to modern estates in Brixington and Littleham. Because of the coastal spot and sandy soil, owners here face their own drainage issues.
Seafront homes can see salt water and coastal erosion affect drains underground. Homes on higher ground, meanwhile, may have different soil that affects pipe stability. The town has grown a lot in recent decades, and this has expanded the drain network. Some areas now have modern pipes next to much older ones serving the original town centre.
Coastal homes in Exmouth can feel salt water affect their drains, especially during storm surges. Sand getting into pipes is also common in some areas. We can check your drains and suggest fixes suited to coastal conditions.
We respond to Exmouth fast from our Exeter base, with urgent jobs first in line, though traffic on the A376 can affect exact arrival times.
