Dawlish, a charming seaside town on the South Devon coast, is known for its black swans and the famous railway line running along the sea wall. Its spot on the coast, next to the Dawlish Water stream, brings its own drainage issues.
Coastal homes and those near the Dawlish Water can face flood risk in some seasons and changing groundwater levels. The mixed red sandstone and clay ground affects how stable it is and how pipes hold up. The town's Victorian core still has much of its first drainage pipework. Newer homes nearby, though, have modern systems.
Dawlish homes near the seafront and the Dawlish Water can be at risk from coastal and river flooding, which can overwhelm drains. We can fit flood protection and non-return valves to help protect your property.
We respond to Dawlish fast from our Exeter base, with urgent jobs first in line.
